The prominent Swedish food producer Gunnar Dafgård trusted our experts for the realization of a web channel solution that would serve their b2b customers.
The first phase of the project included implementation of B2B customer portal based on SAP CRM Web Channel. Goal was to put their rich product catalog and latest promotions for business customers online.
The consultants from Novarto managed to implement the solution, develop an integration with a content management system EPiServer and add some hot features just in 4 months.
For the second 4-month phase we extended the B2B portal with e-selling functionality. Now the business customers of Dafgård are able to place orders, check availability and delivery dates online.
The e-shop offers complex functionality such as: personalized product catalogs, access to special campaign and contract products, availability check based on customer delivery calendar.
As timely delivery is crucial for Dafgård’s customers – mostly restaurants and canteens – we implemented elaborate logic for handling insufficient availability of selected products. It allows checking availability on and order for an alternative delivery date, also choosing amongst product substitutes, which are available on the desired delivery date.
Later a special inventory tool was implemented as a bonus for the customers of Dafgards to serve them for keeping their inventory up-to-date.
